• Social Media Content Creator

  Contractor | Part-time | 20 – 40 hours per week | Remote

  Responsibilities

  • Social Media Planning and Management
    • Develop a social media content and engagement strategy.
    • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns.
    • Become an expert in Apologia’s products, offerings, and brand voice.
    • Create various forms of social media content—text captions, videos, and images—suitable for Apologia’s social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube
    • Share user-generated content (UGC) from blogs, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Pinterest.
    • Schedule social media content across all Apologia social channels.
    • Engage with customers and followers by responding to all comments and messages in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with the Content Writer to promote new content.
    • Collaborate with the Conference Coordinator to promote upcoming conference events.
    • Ensure every piece of content created aligns with Apolgia’s brand voice
  • Community Engagement
    • Moderate Apologia’s Facebook group to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement.
    • Engage and contribute to Apologia’s Facebook group and social homeschool groups and provide answers and insight to establish Apologia as a thought leader.
    • Establish relationships with social media influencers and coordinate sponsored posts with approved influencers.
  • Reporting
    • Monitor the company’s brand on social media and report on feedback and online reviews.
    • Monitor social content and analyze metrics obtained
    • Communicate social metrics and trends effectively to all stakeholders, including leadership, marketing, and customer service.

  Requirements

  • 2-3 years of previous experience as a social media manager or a similar role
  • Deep knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, and engagement strategy
  • Ability to work with creative tools like the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.
  • Ability to turn a concept into compelling content
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in creating engaging multimedia social content on different social platforms
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask

• Graphic Designer

  Contractor | Part-time | 20 – 40 hours per week | Remote

  Responsibilities

  • Plan creative concepts by studying relevant information and assets available
  • Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size, and style and submitting them for approval.
  • Review all proofs and final artwork files prior to distribution.
  • Produce final artwork files that follow the needed specs, file type, file size, etc.
  • Contribute to marketing team efforts with creative input
  • Coordinate with the marketing team, printers, 3rd party vendors as needed.

  Requirements

  • 5 or more years of previous experience as an in-house, agency, or freelance graphic designer
  • Strong portfolio of past work in a variety of mediums
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • A strong, creative eye for visual composition
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Very strong writing and communications skills
  • Attention to detail
